The new date for the next Reunion has been changed to June 13-15, 2014, and the articles and posts on this site have been changed to reflect that.
Dear Cousins,
I wanted to thank everyone who was able to be at the reunion committee meeting on Saturday, January 12, 2013. It was a very productive meeting and we enjoyed a great lunch at Mordecai’s afterwards.
The first and most important issue decided at the meeting was the painful but necessary decision to delay the Maryland to Kentucky Reunion until the summer of 2014. There were a number of significant legal, financial and administrative issues in the organization of the reunion which could not be addressed properly between now and this coming July. The decision was made to hold the reunion on the weekend of June 13-15, 2014. The site remains St. Catharine’s College in Springfield, Kentucky. Those of us who were there in 2002 know that it is an excellent location for our gathering.
This week, I am trying to confirm the availability of the College facilities for that weekend and until then, I am asking that nothing formally be announced outside of the committee. As soon as we confirm the availability of the facilities, we will have a flyer for posting on the reunion website and for general distribution.
Committees have been formed for the different aspects of the reunion and I will send out a list of these committees and their chairpeople. I hope everyone will offer to assist with these efforts in whatever way they can.
The committee will meet again on Saturday, March 2, 2013, at 10:00 am at St. Catharine’s in the same location as before. I hope as many people as possible can attend.
