Edgar Hayden writes:
From my father I am a descendant of William Hayden, brother of Basil Hayden, who were among the early settlers of Kentucky. From my mother I am a descendant of Leonard Hamilton, who was also among the early settlers fo Kentucky. I would like to include a link to my family genealogy web page under the “Family Sites and Sources” tab of your Maryland to Kentucky web page.
Here is the page with link, and welcome Edgar!
Greetings Edgar! My grandfather x 5, direct. My great grandmother Chrissi Ann hayden-Hunter spoke of her roots all the time whne I was growing up. ONLY when I got odler and began ot research for myself that i realized what rich roots we truly had. My Grandmtoher, passed on in 2008, at 98 yrs old. She spoke often of her cousins in Owensboro and the rich history there as well at st Raphaels. NOW, thanks to my cousin Timothy McDonald, who has done extensive work and my own study we have compiled much! Plus family pictures and information has just made for us a treasury of history, records, and pictures. NOW I am going ot order this book and there is one more. The book written about Owensboro. Its out of print right now. My great great grandmother was a Mattingly, who married Basil Haydens grandson, John. so I guess we are cousins! way back…thank you for this link! Please feel free to contact me per email. would love to share family stories and get to know my family of Haydens…have already met several on fb. thanks again sir and God bless you!!!!
